In the earliest days of this land the men of the lands roamed the plains. No cities did they build and no groups larger than the Clans existed. Even the Pilinarii had not built the mountain strongholds that exist in the current era.
It was these loose knit clans that met the Sorcerers when they first came through the Portal. The Seven looked upon the bountiful lands before them and knew that their flight from the forces of Fae was over. Immediately they set about the task of conquering the lands of Man.
It was those dark days that introduced the Clans to the dark powers of the Sorcerers. Their demons and blood magics soon overwhelmed the Clans. Within ten years the last of the Clans had been forced into subservience to the Sorcerers. From the children of Man apprentices were taken and trained, swelling the ranks of the Sorcerers. The dark grip of the Sorcerers held tight onto the lands.
When their hold was secure the Seven met, fearing that the Fae would find them, they bound up their lands in a weaving of immense power. They closed off the way they had used to enter onto the world and hid it from all outside. And so they left behind the ancient war, secure behind their weavings and in the knowledge that nothing existed in this realm that could harm them.
